Making Kettering cleaner, greener and more welcoming.
Kettering Cleaning Club is a friendly group of local volunteers who roll up their sleeves to tackle litter, grime, weeds and graffiti, and to help brighten up tired corners of the town. We focus on practical improvements that make a real difference for residents, visitors and local businesses.

Some of the longer-term improvements we have been proud to help bring to life.
Bellfoundry Lane
Bellfoundry Lane was one of our most special projects. We helped transform this historic passageway by cleaning the brickwork, removing graffiti, washing down surfaces and making the area far more presentable and welcoming.
The project then went further, with heritage boards installed to tell the story of Bellfoundry Lane and Thomas Eayre, helping turn an overlooked cut-through into a place that celebrates an important part of Kettering’s history.
It is a great example of how practical clean-up work can also support local pride, heritage and regeneration.
The Great Kettering Spring Clean 2026
A fantastic community effort that brought people together to give the town centre a real lift.
A huge day for the town
The Great Kettering Spring Clean 2026 was a brilliant example of what can happen when local people, community groups and partners all pull together. Volunteers helped clear litter, remove graffiti, tidy neglected areas and make the town centre look cleaner, safer and more welcoming.
The day brought together a wide mix of people of all ages, with teams working across different parts of Kettering and collecting a huge amount of rubbish along the way. It was not just about cleaning up for one day, but about building pride in the town and showing what is possible when the community gets involved.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who gave their time, energy and support to help make the event such a success.

We keep things practical: supplies in hand, volunteers supported, and visible improvements around Kettering.
A bit of background
Kettering Cleaning Club is a volunteer-led group focused on making the town cleaner, safer and more welcoming. We organise hands-on sessions tackling litter, grime and graffiti, and we respond when residents and local businesses flag areas that have been neglected. We keep our costs low, but we do need to buy basic materials so volunteers can work safely and effectively.
What your donation pays for
- £2 buys protective gloves for volunteers to wear.
- £5 buys bin bags and basic cleaning supplies for a local clean-up session.
- £10 helps provide litter pickers and safety equipment for volunteers.
- £25 buys 5L of basic graffiti remover, which is enough to do one wall.
- £35 provides protective masks, goggles and gloves for volunteer safety.
- £55 buys 5L of advanced graffiti remover, which is needed to remove difficult graffiti.
Every contribution helps us turn “someone should sort that” into “look at that, it’s done”.
Your donation helps support community clean-ups, graffiti removal, equipment and volunteer-led projects that keep Kettering clean, cared for and welcoming for everyone who lives, works and visits here. We are set up as a Community Interest Company (CIC) with an asset lock, so none of our members or officers benefit personally. Every single penny raised goes straight back into improving the town. If we were ever to close, any remaining funds must be passed on to another community organisation, so your support always continues to benefit local people.
